I've just received some yarn from the Alice Starmore/ Virtual Yarn site and it is lovely stuff - I'm planning on knitting one of her early designs, Elizabeth I, soon. The yarn is lovely and has real depth and interest, not just a flat colour. I haven't seen any of the other yarns 'in the flesh' though so don't know how they compare. Look ing forward to seeing what you make of the cushion cover!

Try ordering from Jamieson and Smith. My MIL has looked there for yarn to use in Alice Starmore designs. Wendy talks about them in her October 3, 2003 entry. Here's the link to their site.
