Your hard work was worthwile, there are no holes or puckers in that little swatch. I like your Milefili yarn from the previous post. I used it last summer with a textured stitch. It splits a little so you have to be a little more careful while knitting, but I don’t see why lace wouldn’t work with it.

You’ve spent a lot of time on the details. And it’s the details that can make or break a project. I love that you’re so determined! I have all these ideas in my head but when it doesn’t turn out the way I want, I sometimes just give up. It’s easier to go back to just knitting without thinking about it. But it’s a great moment when you finally figure out something you’ve been rolling around in your head.
