I just made a pair with the half fingers and loved the pattern — very well written and easy to follow. The only problem I had was with the pinkie finger. Unless I am crazy, the pattern never addresses what to do with the pinkie. It covers the index finger, the ring finger, the middle finger, and the thumb but no pinkie. I just improvised and it came out OK but I want to recommend the pattern to some of the members of my knitting guild. We are knitting fingerless gloves for donation to the Knit For The Cure. Some of our members would be uncomfortable improvising so I am reticent to recommend the pattern without the pinkie finger issue addressed.

Yes, I made a pair of Natalya during the 2006 Olympics. I have recommended them to a lot of people. But now I can’t find the pattern where it used to be. Where is the pattern now?

I made a pair a while back, and my daughter just finished a pair (with some mods), and is making a second pair… thanks for a great pattern!

I completed a pair during the Knitting Olympics:

They’re made from Classic Elite ‘Premiere’ (cotton/tensel), color 5216, on #6 dpns. I did 4.75″ wrists (or 10 repeats of the pattern) before starting the thumb gussets, and used maybe 1-1/3 hanks total.
I’m currently modifying the pattern to use with Handmaiden 4-ply Cashmere/Silk… I might just do 6 repeats of the cable pattern instead of 5, but we’ll see.
